SilkAssets

About

17 years.
Every part of it.

Designer. Pattern maker. Brand founder. Factory owner. Based in China.

I started in this industry at 21 with nothing — no connections, no capital, no background. Seventeen years later, I have worked every role: designer, pattern maker, brand founder, factory owner, and supply chain operator — all in China.

I ran my own factory for five years. I know what happens inside the cut line, why samples come back wrong, how a fabric actually behaves once it's cut and sewn, and which details separate a design that looks good from one that produces well.

SilkAssets exists because most fashion design resources online are made by people who have never set foot in a factory or a design room — and it shows. Flat sketches with construction that doesn't work. Print patterns that ignore how fabric actually moves. Files built by outsiders, guessing.

Everything I sell here comes from the other side of that gap — designed in China, by someone who has actually made the thing, not just imagined it.

Designed on the ground in China

Why it matters

Designed where the clothes are actually made.

I'm based in Wuhan, one of China's major garment manufacturing hubs, with daily access to fabric markets, factories and production floors that most designers overseas never see. When I draw a flat sketch, design a print, or build a fabric texture, it's informed by what I've watched happen on the cut line for 17 years — not by what looks good in a mockup.

That's the difference between a resource that looks right and one that's actually right.
